Dr. Fisher has held teaching and administrative appointments. At present he serves as the Chief of the Division of Rheumatology at Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center in Camden, NJ, Chief of the Division of Rheumatology at Kessler Memorial Hospital in Hammonton, NJ, and Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA.
For the past 20 years, Dr. Fisher has been involved in clinical research trials as a Primary Investigator. He has participated in phase 2, 3 and 4 clinical trials for osteoporosis, analgesics, NSAIDS COX2s for osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis, GI tolerability, pain management, low back pain, and IV biologics for rheumatoid arthritis.
Jill Stubbs, CCRC
Ms. Jill Stubbs has served as Director and Coordinator of Fisher Clinical Research since 2002. Her responsibilities include all aspects of Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs, and coordination of patient care and documentation, EKGs and phlebotomy.
Ms. Stubbs received her clinical research coordinator certification from the ACRP, Association of Clinical Research Professionals. She is certified in accordance with DATA guidelines for the shipping of dangerous goods. She has extensive training in the medical equipment required for therapeutic trials. She has twenty years of experience in the medical field, eight of which have been in clinical research and clinical trials.

Facility
Fisher Clinical Research has a full time dedicated staff to assist with the patients’ needs. The office is conveniently located in Haddon Heights, NJ where it is easily accessible by I-295 and the White Horse Pike (Route 30). All patients are treated with the highest level of courtesy and accommodation. Referrals from physicians are appreciated and treated with confidentiality. No patients seen on referral for our clinical trials will be seen in the office for rheumatic care outside of the clinical trial unless the referring physician personally calls and requests it. This is the policy of the Center in order to avoid all conflicts of interest and the relationship of the referring physicians and their patients.
Current Studies with Active Enrollment:
Rheumatoid Arthritis:
Active RA multiple joints. Multiple tender and swollen joints. No previous biologic agents. Current medication includes methotrexate.
New trial for rheumatoid arthritis for patients not currently on methotrexate and that have not had prior treatment with a biologic, injectable medication in the past.New trial for rheumatoid arthritis for patients on methotrexate. Patients had to fail prior treatment with a biologic, injectable medication in the past.
A clinical trial for a new medication for the treatment of pain and patients with fibromyalgia ages 18 to 70 years. This will be a 12 week trial.

New clinical trial on a new oral agent for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis for patients also on methotrexate- a 3 month trial for patients over age 18 years

Rheumatoid Arthritis Study:
A double blind, randomized, parallel group, multicenter comparison of the efficacy and safety of Mycophenolate mofetil p.o. (Xg b.i.d.) and placebo in patients with active rheumatoid arthritis (six month efficacy study) who are candidates for immunosuppressive therapy for rheumatoid arthritis.

Are you taking Methotrexate for your Rheumatoid Arthritis? Do your symptoms still bother you?
We are seeking men and women who are taking methotrexate for rheumatoid arthritis but are still experiencing symptoms of stiff, tender and swollen joints to take part in a research study.
The purpose of this research is to evaluate the effectiveness of an investigational medication on controlling the signs and symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis when taken in addition to methotrexate.
Participants must:
The study medication will be taken daily for 12 weeks. Study medication and medical evaluations will be provided. Participants will be asked to complete a number of arthritis assessment questionnaires and provide blood and other samples for laboratory results.

Dr. Mark Fisher is board certified in Rheumatology and is a Fellow of the American College of Rheumatology. He received his medical degree in 1973 from Hahnemann Medical College in Philadelphia, PA. He completed his residency program in Internal Medicine at Hahnemann Hospital. Dr. Fisher performed a fellowship in Rheumatology at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA.
